Robb Rebels Rumours of a 2026 Departure to stay with Juncos Hollinger Racing in 2026
The American racer Sting Ray Robb has managed to finally confirm his future for 2026 and that he will remain at Juncos Hollinger Racing for next season. At times this outcome was in doubt but the driver and the team seem to be heading in the same direction together for now.
JHR therefore switched up the driver lineup compared to the year prior with Robb and VeeKay leading the team forward.
Humble Beginnings
Sting Ray Robb began his single seater career with a couple seasons in the Pro Mazda championship with only a podium to his name.
A breakthrough was on the horizon for Robb and in his second season of the Indy Pro 2000 championship he was able to take the title with Juncos Hollinger Racing in convincing style, nearly winning by over 100 points.
Similarly to his Indy Pro 2000 stint, Robb took a season to acclimatise to the championship. In the second season he went close to repeating his prior feat just coming up short as runner up of the 2022 Indy lights championship.
He had immense consistency throughout the year but with only 1 victory coming in the season’s weekend finale, it was a little too late.

In the big time with Purpose
Robb finally made the step to the NTT IndyCar Series in 2023 debuting with Dale Coyne Racing team. Making an early good impression was key but in the struggling Dale Coyne car, Robb had a turbulent 1st season in Indycar having only racked up a best finish of P16 in his debut race.
Malukas, his teammate, ended podiuming and had over 100pts more than Robb wasn’t what the American intended to happen. A bounce-back was imminently needed in 2024 and maybe a new environment could foster that?
Robb moved across to the AJ Foyt crew in a move that was definitely a step forward in car performance in which he would be able to display his talents in a bigger light. 2024 saw a decent improvement for Robb’s fortunes in which he racked up his first top 10 indycar finish taking a remarkable P9 at Toronto starting P27 on the grid. This is comfortably his best drive in Indycar to date.
He also was able to finish within the top 20 in the standings having scored 38pts more points. Robb’s Indycar career was slowly developing but in 2025 it has somewhat plateaued.
He left AJ Foyt after 1 season to join Juncos Hollinger Racing. A team that’s definitely smaller and have less technical expertise but he pretty much matched his 2024 season having scored similar points and a best finish of P9 at Long Beach.
Depends on the way you look at it to determine if this season was an improvement upon the last but for sure in 2026 being within a team for a 2nd year for the first time in his career, the environment should be more settled and less pressure placed upon the American.
2026 should generate a good season of more consistent performances.

2026 Aspirations and beyond
Robb was asked about his views upon the 2026 signing and signing another year with Juncos. He explained that ‘this season is massive for me but I am embracing fully’ which shows the commitment Robb has to this Indycar team but also to their project further down the line.
Being in your 2nd season with a team is very important and especially due to this being a new thing for Robb. Robb values the opportunity to continue to build the inter team relationships further because ‘What’s key for me is continuity’ and thus this will hopefully allow steady performance improvements throughout next year.
With the teammate of Rinus next year, Robb will be pushed all the way by the experienced and reliable talent of VeeKay. Robb shared his thoughts upon this new addition to the team. ‘We’re aligned, we’re hungry and we’re ready to fight towards the front together’.
The Juncos team have lofty ambition of significant improvement for 2026 and the team principal Dave O’Neill commented on Robb as being a ‘key pillar in the structure we’re building for 2026’ and believes that they can ‘move up the order quickly’ with the different but effective qualities these two drivers hold.

Robb’s 2026 aims should be as a 4th season driver now to try and get a top 5 finish on his resume or even a podium. Furthermore, to be able to enhance his consistency of results which should hopefully push him towards the top 15 in the Drivers’ championship.
Juncos Hollinger racing have really built strong foundations for future seasons to come and it will be fascinating to see how things materialise for them in 2026 and beyond.
